Much talked about ‘Thrayam’, a blingual in Tamil and Telugu is a dream project of Director Vikram Kumar of ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ fame. Though it is still in a nascent stage the main reason for the hype is that three generations of the Akkineni family _ Nageswara Rao, his son Nagarjuna and his grandson Naga Chaitanya _ feature in the film.

Vikram Kumar is in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast. He has approached Samantha to join the ensemble. The actress, who has missed out on Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’ and Shankar’s ‘I’, is said to be excited about playing one of the female leads in ‘Thrayam’. It comes to her as an unexpected bonanza as she gets a chance to share screen space with not one Akkineni but three of them. Even for viewers it will be quite an experience watching the father, son and grandson getting together.

It is said Vikram Kumar has officially taken Samantha on board. Sources close to the actress, however, say she has not yet signed the film. They would only say that she likes the story and finds the role she has been offered is interesting; in all probability she will do the character.

Samantha has been assured that she and the other heroine, who is yet to be finalized, will get equal screen time, it is said.

According to the sources, the bilingual will go on floors in December next. They aim at August 2013 release.
