Sameera Reddy vows not to use credit/debit cards

Actress Sameera Reddy has taken a New Year vow that she will not use credit/debit cards hereafter. Her bank account was reportedly hacked a month ago and about four lakh was withdrawn by an Indian hacker and his friends based in the US.

Narrating her bitter experience, the actress said the hacker had called her and confirmed the hacking of her credit card. According to his account as told to Sameera Reddy, it was when he casually looked at the name he realized that the person defrauded was a celebrity and an actress whose movies he had seen and enjoyed.

After checking her bank balance, she found that what the hacker had told her was true. He had promised her that he would make good the money he had taken but could not do anything about the money that his friends had withdrawn. As promised by him, he had remitted back a lakh into the account.

Sameera Reddy says she has become wiser now, thanks to the hacker.
