Samuthirakani offers role to Amala against Jayam Ravi

Director Samuthirakani, who is currently acting in 'Sattai', will next direct a film with Jayaram Ravi in the lead. He has approached much sought-after actress Amala Paul and offered her heroine role but he is yet to sign her on.

Since the film will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Samuthirakani wants to rope in Amala who is well known in Kollywood as well as Tollywood.

He told reporters that Amala has heard the script and liked it very much; she has expressed her interest in being a part of the project.

The director is in talks with her on dates and remuneration. A clearer picture will emerge after a few days.

If Amala Paul gives her nod, Samuthirakani will have a fresh lead pair in his film, which will focus on a social issue like his earlier films 'Naadodigal' and 'Poraali'.
