Sathyaraj plays 'dada' in new film

Oct 24, 2008 PVS

A new film starring Sathyaraj titled "Pettai Mudal Kottai Varai" was launched at AVM Studio in Chennai on Oct.24.

Sathyaraj departs from his usual freewheeling style which is marked by wit and humour. His character in the new film is entirely different and he has not done it before. He plays a hardcore dada who exploits two other dadas – Napoleon and Nasser. One of them has become a dada for reasons of birth and the other has turned a dada to fight for and uphold righteousness ('dharma'). Sathyaraj plays these two one against the other and engineers clashes between them for his own gains.

Featured along with Sathyaraj, Napoleon and Nasser are Hemanthkumar, Varshini, VMC Haneefa, M.S. Bhaskar, R. Sundarrajan, Nambirajan, and 'Amaithipadai' Muthukumar.

M. Jameen Raj directs the film. He has written the story, screenplay and dialogue. He has earlier directed "Ennaipar Yogamvarum".

To be produced by Maraikayar Films, "Pettai Mudal Kottai Varai" will have music by Deva.

The film will be shot in Chennai, Ramanathapuram, Nagercoil and Coimbatore.
