Chennai, July 8 (IANS) The shooting of a Tamil film featuring the famous Fatehpur Sikri Fort, close to the Taj Mahal in Agra, was disrupted by villagers when the crew started filming a romantic scene.

The yet untitled film, directed by Chithirai Selvan, still a college student, is due for release in August and will have debutants Vikas and Anjali as the lead pair.

According to the film's crew, shooting in Fatehpur Sikri landed them in a sensitive situation. The residents of Fatehpur Sikri village took strong objection to a romantic scene being shot at the venue.

The villagers, who watched the shooting peacefully for two days, raised noisy objections to the scene on the third day and forced the unit to shift location.

The film, for which Vaibhava Balu has scored music while Vairamuthu and Thiraivannan have written the lyrics, has been shot in locations like Cherrapunji, Kulu-Manali, Alapuzha and Delhi besides Agra.
