Shriya learns kalaripayattu for 'Chandra'

Actress Shriya Saran, who plays Maharani Ammanmani Chandravathy, in Roopa Iyer’s 'Chandra', has undergone training in kalaripyattu for two months under Sagar Asan.


After the training, Shriya shot for the ferocious fight scene in which she takes on Prem Kumar who plays the character of Chandrahasa. The shooting was held in Mysore recently. Shriya reportedly thanked the film unit for making it realistic.


'Chandra', a Tamil-Kannada bilingual, is an upcoming period fantasy with Shriya and newcomer Prem Kumar in the lead. The film dwells on the last generation princess and her love story. Click the Movie button below for more info:
