Simbu-starrer 'Podaa Podi' makers explain delay

Feb 1, 2012 PGV

The makers of 'Podaa Podi' starring Simbu and Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar have, in a statement, explained the reasons for the project's delay.

The film is about the journey of a boy and a girl through three stages of their lives. It took time to ensure that the phases were captured properly.

'The film was entirely shot in London and only during a particular season to go with the look and feel of the flick. And, we had to shoot scenes featuring a baby at the time of his birth and when he is six-months-old,' the statement said.

The unit feels exulted about the way Simbu (now STR) has carried the film on his shoulders and Varalakshmi's excellent performance, though she is a debutante.

Ace director Gautham Menon makes a guest appearance in this film, which is directed by Vignesh Kumar and produced by Gemini and Padam Kumar. Hollywood cinematographer Duncan Telford handles the camera.

It is said 'Podaa Podi' is a big budget film which will see Simbi in a new avatar topping the chart. Click the Movie button below for more info:
