Silambarasan (Simbu) is busy with his upcoming film "Kettavan". He has written the story, screen play and dialogue for the film which, according to the actor, is a true portrayal of his frustration with his love life and has a strong message for the youth.

There are two heroines – Namitha and a new face, Lekha Washington, who works for SS Music Channel. Namitha plays a supermodel in the film. The others in the cast include Premji, Santhanam and Manobala.

Nandhu directs the new film. When Simbu directed "Vallavan" Nandhu worked with him as assistant director. Vijay Milton is the cinematographer, while Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music. Leading film distributor Tiruchi R. Viswanathan and R.V. Ramprabhu are the joint producers.

Recently, a stunt scene was shot using ten cameras at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam Chennai. Promotional posters that have appeared all over the City pictures Simbu as "Satan" but in a white robe with a pair of white wings.

Simbu reportedly met Lekha at a theatre where he went to see the film "Spiderman 3". In a media interview, Simbu said circumstances make a man good or bad. When a man falls in love, he is like a child. But women do not understand this and they regard men as mere playthings. "Kettavan" is based on his experiences as a frustrated lover and would serve as a mirror to today's youth.

Simbu had accompanied Yuvan Shankar to Bangkok where the music director composed the tunes for the film. One of the songs in "Kettavan" is a remix of Simbu's father T. Rajendar's old song "Raakaala Velai". Click the Movie button below for more info:
