Six films that Aaskar Films are producing at a time

Aaskar Films Ravichandran, who has produced many biggies like ‘Vaanathaipole’, ‘Anniyan’ and, ‘Dasavatharam’, is producing six films at a time.


Kamal Haasan is directing and acting in one of these films.


Another film is Shankar’s ‘I’ with Vikram playing the lead. This is the film which has brought Shankar and Vikram together after ‘Anniyan’. It went on floors on July 15.


The third film is ‘Boologam’ starring Jeyam Ravi and Trisha. Joining them in the cast are Prakashraj, Ponvannan, Shanmugarajan and others. Kalyanakrishnan directs ‘Boologam’. He was working as an assistant director with Jananathan. Jananathan has written the dialogues for this film. Sathishkumar handles the camera and Srikanth Deva is the composer. A 50-acre township has been created with houses, temples, churches, mosques, schools, hospital and shops. The set costs more than Rs. 1.5 crore, it is said. Jeyam Ravi plays a boxing champion and Trisha portays a college girl. Talks are being held with two Hollywood actors to cast them as villains in ‘Boologam’.


The fourth film is ‘Vallinam’. Directed by Arivazhagan, the film has Nakulan as the hero.


Aaskar’s yet-to-be titled fifth and sixth films feature Arjun and Dhanush respectively.
