Sood obliges Akshay Kumar with rights of 'Appadi Podu'

Bollywood model and actor Akshay Kumar has finally got the rights of the chartbuster 'Appadi Podu' from the album of Vijay-Trisha starrer 'Gilli'.



Sonu Sood had first bought the rights of the song, which he wanted to use in its forthcoming film. However, Sood has given the rights to Akshay Kumar on his special request, sources say.



Akshay Kumar will use the song in his film 'Naam Hai Boss' which is a remake of the 2010 Malayalam blockbuster 'Pokkiri Raja' which starred Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead In the Hindi version, Akshay Kumar will play Mammootty's role. Pakistani actor Imran Abbas will play Prithviraj's role. Anthony D'Souza will direct the film. He has earlier worked with Akshay Kumar in 'Blue'.



The buzz is that one of the leading actresses from the south may be roped in for the role of one of the heroines. Click the Movie button below for more info:
