Suriya to join Kamal team for Hollywood film

Actor Suriya is understood to have agreed to join the Kamal Haasan team for a Hollywood film to be produced by Barrie Osborne (The Lord of the Rings). Kamal and Osborne met in Malaysia recently and announced their decision to join together and make a film on an Indian theme.

Kamal’s latest movie ‘Viswaroopam’ is in the final stages and expected to be released in September, ahead of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyan’ which the makers plan to release possibly on the superstar’s birthday (12-12-2012).

The buzz is Kamal has approached Suriya offering him a role in his Hollywood film and the latter is said to have given his consent.

Suriya has teamed up with Vijay in ‘Nerukku Ner’ and ‘Friends', with Vikram in ‘Pithamagan’ and with Vijayakanth in 'Periyannan'. He did a cameo in Kamal-starrer ‘Manmadan Ambu’ but has had no opportunity so far to share screen space with the Ulaganayagan. If the Osborne production has the Kamal-Suriya combo, it will be a “different feast” for the fans.

The shooting of K.V. Anand’s ‘Maatraan’ starring Suriya has been completed and the film is about to be wrapped up. Suriya will next get busy with new projects _ Singam 2 and Thuppariyum Anand. He will join the Kamal team for the Hollywood project after finishing the two films on hand, it is said.
