The Tamilnadu Film Directors Association’s revamped website (www.tantis.org) along with its web TV was inaugurated and simultaneously the audio of Prabhu Solomon’s production ‘Sattai’ was launched at Sathyam Theatre in Chennai on Aug.28.

Directors S.P. Jananathan, Samuthirakani, Prabhu Solomon, Lingusamy, Susindan and many other directors, besides TANTIS office-bearers, attended the function.

TANTIS general secretary and president of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) Ameer, speaking at the function, said they have bought a building for the Association and it is being refurbished. Some had questioned this. Every association/union has such dissenters and so has TANTIS, Ameer said.

He said the Association has now opened its own website to gather and disseminate information.

Referring to Gautham Menon’s plea for joining Hollywood, Ameer said this would happen (‘kandippaga Inaippom’)..

Ameer further said the Association would soon have elections and this time he would not contest. The Association should look beyond holding talks and sorting out problems over remuneration, if any, during production of films. This position should change, he stressed.

S.P. Muthuraman, K. Bhagyaraj and Gautham Menon spoke felicitating TANTIS. Karu. Pazhaniappan acted as a compere.
