'Thadaiyara Thaaka' set to hit screens soon

May 21, 2012 PGV

Actor Arun Vijay's latest 'Thadaiyara Thaaka', directed by Magizh Thirumeni, a Gautham Menon assistant, is all set to roll out soon. The audio was released recently. Composer Thaman for whom this is the second film, believes that not only the songs but the re-recording will be talked about after the movie release. The film has L.R. Easwari singing a duet with Vijay Arun. Vali wrote the number 'Poonthamaliyile' Easwari's range of voice is unique, says Arun.

Produced by Feather Touch Entertainment, 'Thadaiyara Thaaka' (the line is from Kanda Shashti Kavacham) features Vijay Arun with Mamtha Mohandas in the lead. Sukumar has handled the camera; the editing is by Praveen Srikanth and the art by Mohana Mahendran. Mrs Susil and M. Hemanth are the producers.

Magizh Thirumeni, who has written the screenplay with an unusual storyline, says he has blended two important aspects _action with screenplay.

Arun's previous two films _ Malai Malai and Maanja Velu – were purely commercial. This time, he wanted to go classier wooing multplex audiences too. Arun plays Selva, owner of a travel agency, who is a left-hander. He rehearsed a lot for the stunt scenes choreographed by 'Anal' Arasu. Magizh Thirumeni has introduced two new villains Maha Gandhi and Vamsi Krishnan. Murugadas, who acted in 'Aadukalam', plays Arun's friend

The film has been in the making for one and a half years. A prolonged hunt for the heroine is cited as one of the reasons for the slow progress of the project. First, Prachi Desai was fixed after 'Once upon a time in Mumbai'. She was out of the project perhaps due to 'miscommunication'. Mamtha Mohandas was their initial choice, but she was busy working on a Malayalam film at that time. They managed to rope her in finally.

An action thriller with doses of suspense, romance and family sentiment, Thadaiyara Thakka is touted as different not only for Vijay Arun but also for the viewers.
