Udhaya tries his luck as anti-hero

Actor Udhaya is trying his luck as an anti-hero in "Poova Thalaya". He has 10 Tamil films to his credit as a hero, but this time he wants to do an anti-hero role emulating actor Prasanna, who got recognition and acclaim for his performance in a negative role in "Anjathe".

Udhaya has a good filmy background. It was his brother Vijay who directed the recent box office hit "Poi Solla Porom". His father Algappan produced it. Though he has done as many as ten films in Tamil as a hero, success has eluded him. He could not make it big.

Megha Nair is playing opposite Udhaya in "Poova Thalaya" directed by Sanjay Ram. It is a full-fledged action movie based on real life incidents.

Talking about his switching to an anti-hero subject, Udhaya says it is a 'mind-boggling role which, he is sure, the audience will appreciate.

Before "Poova Thalaya", Udhaya has signed "Unnai Kan Theduthe" which will be ready for release soon. National award winning director Ratish Ramayya directs this film. Manya is the heroine.
