Varalaxmi cast in Radha Mohan's 'Gauravam'

Simbu-starrer 'Podaa Podi', which is Varalaxmi's debut film, is still under production two years after it went on floors. The new actress, who is daughter of Sarath Kumar, is not waiting for its release. She has moved on and signed a film to be directed by Radha Mohan.

The film is titled 'Gauravam' and will be launched next month. Nagarjuna will be producing it under his home banner in Tamil and Telugu.

According to Varalaxmi, Nagarjuna called her up and informed her about her being cast in 'Gauravam'. She then contacted director Radha Mohan who confirmed her role in the film.

Of 'Podaa Podi', she says this is one film that's worth the wait. She plays three different roles in this movie. She was dropped and then called back and the shooting of the film started in 2010. The makers of the film recently came out with a statement giving reasons for the inordinate delay in completing the project.
