Veteran actor Ravichandran hospitalised
Jul 25, 2011 PSPopular yesteryear hero Ravichandran who is aged 70 years has been admitted to a city hospital because he was seriously ill.
Ravichandran had been suffering from kidney ailment for the past couple of months but his condition worsened two days back and he was rushed to Apollo nursing home in Teyanampet. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital and is being given dialysis. He is supported by life saving systems. The doctors say that is health condition is critical. His sons Balaji and actor Hamsavardhan along with their mother Vimala and sister Lavanya are taking care of the ailing actor at the hospital.
Ravichandran entered the filmdom with the Sridhar-directed 'Kadhalikka Nerammillai', which was a comedy flick that turned into a cult hit at that time. He also acted in many films including 'Athey Kangal', 'Idhaya Kamalam', 'Gauri Kalyanam', 'Kumari Penn'. After hogging the limelight as a hero for several years, Ravichandran was seen in character or villain roles in several films including 'Oomai Vizhigal', 'Arunachalam', 'Ramana', etc.
