Zarine Khan is Vikram's heroine

Zarine Khan will be paired with Vikram in 'Karikaalan'. The movie directed by Kannan is being produced by Silver Line Film Factory.

Says director Kannan, ''This is my first film. Earlier I had worked in films like 'Endhiran', 'Eeram', 'Ghajini' and 'Arundhathi' as visual effects expert. Though actor Vikram has the policy of not acting in debutant director's films, he has given his call sheet on behalf of my storyline. 'Karikaalan' is a historical film based on the life of King Karikaalan. There will also be fantasy to give pep for the film. This high budgeted film has animatronics, miniature and graphics. For this aspect, we had signed with some Hollywood technicians and specialists. Harris Jayaraj is composing the music while Jayaraj Karthik is handling the camera. Others in the cast include Pasupathy and Shanmugarajan. Moreover, we had signed Bollywood actress Zarine of 'Veer' fame, for the lead role. As of now, the first schedule of shooting has been completed at Talakkonam forests. We have planned to release the film during 'Diwali' festival''.

Zarine who had acted in a bunch of Bollywood films, is really excited about her debut film in Tamil. While speaking about this she said, "I hope the film will be a success. To my film career it will do well as 'Veer' did. And I'm pretty much confident that it will."
