Hyderabad, Jan 31 (IANS) Veteran Telugu film director Krishna Vamsi teams up with music maestro Ilaiyaraja after almost 14 years for the murder mystery "Anumanaspadam" that releases in the third week of February.

The duo is known for hits like "Sitara", "April Okati Vidhudala", "Anveshana" and "Maharshi". Vamsi's unique shots and lyrical picturisation of Ilaiyaraja's lilting tunes made winners out of even simple plots.

This time Vamsi apparently had a tough time in choosing six out of 100-odd tunes by Ilaiyaraja.

Over 16 years ago, the same director enthralled viewers with the suspense thriller "Anveshana". He dabbles in this genre again with youngsters Aryan Rajesh and Nandini in the lead.

Debutant producer Satish Tati claims to have accomplished his "long-cherished ambition" of making a Vamsi-Ilaiyaraja film.

Vamsi had earlier made a comeback with "Vaallidaru Ishtapadaru" some years ago, but dented his newfound success with a dud like "Dongodu and Party". He has taken a while to choose the plot for his suspense thriller set in and around a forest.

The success of "Anumanaspadam" will re-launch the careers of Vamsi, Aryan and, to some extent, even Ilaiyaraja in Telugu.
