Gopichand has reasons to smile when he was recently roped in for a film by Boopathi Pandian which he originally made for Tamil actor Vikram. Kollywood's loss is Tollywood's gain, that's what this looks like.

A source informs, 'Initially, Vikram and Boopathi Pandian were supposed to come together for an action entertainer. The film which was supposed to have Ileana in the lead had already been titled and was touted to go on floors last year. But, the project faced several hiccups and finally, had to be shelved because of creative differences between the actor and the director.

Later the director read the script to Gopichand and he instantaneously liked it. The director also

approached Tamannaah to play female lead. The movie will mark the director's entry into in Telugu, who previously has movies such as Devathaiyai Kandaen, Thiruvilayadal Aarambam and Malaikkottai to his credit.
