Keeravani scores a hat-trick - Telugu Music
Aug 2, 2004 IANS Aug 2Hyderabad, Aug 2 (IANS): Keeravani's melodious music is being lapped up by Telegu music buffs. He has scored a hat- trick with the three top numbers this week.
1."PALLAKILO PELLIKUTHURU": After losing to "Gharshana" for some time, the melody-centric album is back to the top position. The magic of Raghavendra Rao and Keeravani has worked again. Telugu listeners usually prefer foot-tapping numbers but they always appreciate Keeravani's soft tunes.
.
2."LETHA MANASULU": Director S V Krishna Reddy, who normally composes music for his own films, has opted for Keeravani this time - and the decision has paid off. After "Pellam Oorelithe' with Mani Sharma which was a hit, Reddy extracts soulful tunes from Keeravani this time. It's a typical Keeravani style of composition that has been received well by lovers of melody music.
3. "NAA AUTOGRAPH": It seems to be the season of Keeravani after "Pallakilo..." and "Letha...". He has scored a hat-trick with the success of "Naa Autograph", a remake of Tamil hit "Autograph". Director Gopal Reddy has extracted a musical score suiting the tale of a guy who goes on a nostalgic trip.
4. "GHARSHANA": Harris Jayaraj's compositions caught up with the listeners instantly. However, the album lost its position to Keeravani's scores. Listeners have opted for Keeravani's traditional score over the fusion attempts of Jayaraj.
5."SRI ANJANEYAM": Numero Uno composer Mani Sharma stands last in the list of musical hits since the film's poor performance has affected its audio sales. The album, with a mix of devotionals and duets, is losing its appeal despite a promising beginning.
