Maheshbabu teams up with UTV

Several corporate managements which noticed the Telugu film stamina are now looking at investing in Telugu film industry. Maheshbabu caught the attention of the Bollywood with his blockbuster, 'Pokiri'. Mahesh had also reportedly signed an agreement to act in three films to be produced by UTV and is ready to shed Rs 55 crores for the purpose.

The news created a sensation in the Telugu film industry as UTV which had produced several heavy budget films like 'Rang De Basanti, Lakshya, Khosla ki Ghoda, Swadesh, Dhee, The Name Sake, and Metro' is now going to produce films in Telugu. Presently UTV is busy in producing Jodha Akbar with Hrithik Roshan and Aiswarya Rai, and 'Fashion' with Madhur Bhandarkar wielding the megaphone. Another interesting feature is that UTV is also planning to launch a TV channel in eight Indian languages and one of them is Telugu. It may be recalled here that Maheshbabu had already started working as a brand ambassador for Thums Up.
