Mani Sharma back at the top with 'Subhas'

Hyderabad, April 22 (IANS) Composer Mani Sharma makes it to the top again with his typically star-centric album for "Subhas Chandra Bose".

1. "Subhas Chandra Bose": Mass number "Mokka Jonna", soft-melody "Neredu Pallu" and the title song are quite catchy. Yet again, director Raghavendra Rao scores a musical hit.

2. "Bunny": Young composer Devisri Prasad this time around relies more on beat than melody to suit the action film. "Jabillmmavo" and "Va Va Vareva" are quite interesting. Can the duo of Allu Arjun and Devisri deliver another musical hit like "Arya" ?.

3. "Avunnana Kadanna": After over 18 months, hotshot composer R.P. Patnaik makes a comeback with a typical folk album. "Jadagantala" sounds good while a few other tunes are a rehash of Ilaiyaraja's hits.

4. "Chandramukhi": Composer Vidyasagar's "Devuda Devuda" and "Athihom" are hummable. He has compromised on melody and provided fast music to suit the taste of Rajni's fans.

5. "Mumbai Xpress": The film stands apart from the rest purely for its jazzy album. Who else other than maestro Ilaiyaraja can come up with such delightful compositions including the chartbuster "Idemi Vintha Gola"? The album would have topped the list, if creative genius were the only criterion.
