Mohanbabu launches next project

Nagarjuna, Vihnuvardhan Babu are playing together as heroes in the 48th film on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures with Dr M Mohanbabu as producer and P Vasu of 'Chandramukhi'-fame as director. Manojkumar is presenting the film and the shooting of the film was formally launched at Annapurna Studios recently.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao gave the clap, Dr D Ramanaidu switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Vishnu under the honorary direction of K Raghavendra Rao. Earlier, Rajamouli, Sreenu Vaitla, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna and B Gopal handed over the script to the director and producer. Speaking on the occasion, Mohanbabu says, 'I am asking director P Vasu to do a film on our banner. Though he is not directing me, he agreed to do a film with my son and I am very happy at this because, the inherent talents in Vishnu would come out by working with such a senior director. The story is also good and Nagarjuna is playing a fantastic role in the movie. He had accepted my invitation as he respects me and my banner. When I asked him to do this film, Nagarjuna says that he would definitely do the film if he likes the subject. Once the subject was narrated him, he gave his nod immediately without any hesitation. This is the immediate next film for Vishnu after a hit film like 'Dhee'. We will continue shooting without any break.'

Director P Vasu says, 'Mohanbabu is a straightforward man and I like such people. I have not watched any of the films of Vishnu. When I planned a film with Vishnu as hero, I watched 'Dhee'. In fact, a hero, who had good comedy sense and who could maintain good comedy timing, would definitely shine as an artiste. Likewise, every artiste should have good look, walk and dialogue modulation. All these are in aplenty with Vishnu. I am sure that the character in this film would earn a good name to Vishnu. I have an opportunity to work with great artistes in Tamil. In Telugu also, I worked with Balakrishna and Srihari. Now I was able to work with Nagarjuna, who has lots of story sense. I like Ilayaraja as music director and also Keeravani. The latter is scoring music for the movie.' Vishnuvardhan Babu says, 'I feel very lucky to work with Nagarjuna and P Vasu.' Rohini Sahani, Nazar, Bharani, Brahmanandam, Ahuti Prasad, Napoleon, Ali, Sunil, MS Narayana, Venumadhav, Sonu Sood, Prema, Manorama are in the cast. Dialogues are by Marudhuri Raja, camera is by Om Prakash, editing is by Gauthamraju, music is by Keeravani, lyrics are by Jonnavittula, art is by Ashok and action is by Stun Siva, while story, screenplay and direction are by P Vasu.
