Popular item number dancer Mumaith Khan played a powerful police officer's role as 'Maisamma' and won compliments from every quarter. It is quite common among the Telugu film industry people to make use of the song, dialogue or a character as the film title. Hence, 'Maisamma' has become the title of a film and Mumaith Khan is playing the title role of the movie and the film is being directed by Bharat Parepalli of 'Tapassu, Guri and Cheekatilo…' fame.
