Actress Nayanthara has consented to act in a Telugu film, this time with Nagarjuna. Dasarath will direct the film.

Dasarath confirmed that she would act in his film and that she would play opposite Nagarjuna.

The buzz is that since Nayanthara's planned marriage with actor-director Prabhu Deva is off, she has decided to get back to her acting career and continue to act in more of Tamil and Telugu films.

Reports had appeared in a section of the media that Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva were living together and she was visiting him regularly on the sets of his Bollywood film 'Rowdy Rathore'. These reports are denied.

Nayanthara could not be reached by the press for comment on reports that her liaison with Prabhu Deva had ended a few weeks ago and all was not well with them.

Both had announced their marriage plans and said that the Telugu mythological film 'Sri Ramarajyam' was her last film. She acted as Sita and Balakrishna as Rama in this hit movie.

According to reports, she bade farewell to all those who had worked with her on the film on the last day of the shooting. She was also seen in tears when she took leave of them.

After the announcement of their marriage plan, Nayanthara, a Christian, embraced Hinduism. Prabhu Deva also appeared flexible by making it known that she was free to act even after marriage. All this gave the impression that their marriage was only a matter of time.

However, after the success of 'Sri Ramarajyam', top notch actors like Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and Ravi Teja as also directors reportedly made a request to Nayanthara that they would like her to continue acting. But Nayanthara played the cards close to her chest.

After biding her time for the last few months, she has given her consent to act in Dasarath's film. It is said this is in deference to the wishes of her fans and heroes.

Whether their marriage is still on the cards or they have parted ways is not clear yet.
