NTR Jr. puts 'Naa Alludu' on top

Hyderabad, Jan 17 (IANS): "Naa Alludu" is at the top of the Telugu film charts, but "Mass" starring Nagarjuna is likely to dislodge the NTR Junior starrer.

1. "Naa Alludu": With this film, NTR Junior shows his box office power. Although it had terrific opening day collections, this poorly made film has disappointed many of the star's fans.

The festival crowd flocked to see this oft-repeated tale of a conflict between a poor man and his arrogant mother-in-law. However, the film offers nothing to make audiences return.

2. "Balu": Pavan Kalyan's much-awaited love story "Balu", released a week ago, opened to a good response, but a few days later it went into decline.

Except for Pavan's dances and action sequences, the film had nothing to offer. It may prove a disappointing film for its producers, the illustrious Vyjayanthi Movies.

3. "Mass": Nagarjuna's confidence in Lawrence has paid off with "Mass". The film's theme, along with Charmi's oomph and Jyothika's performance, has made it a winner.

Devi Sri Prasad's mass-oriented score holds the audience, while the star hero proves that his mass appeal remains intact.

4. "Nuvvu Vasthanante Ne Vadntana": M.S. Raju's fun film has benefited from the huge publicity surrounding it. Inspired by "Pyar Kiya To Dar Na Kya", this is a feel-good movie, which had good first-day collections. Prabhu Deva shows enough promise and Devi Sri Prasad's music is different.

5. "Dhana 51": The Sumanth-Surya-Kiron team of "Satyam" fame has produced yet another romance with a big dose of action. The film drew good initial collections. Chakri's music adds to the film's value.
