Racy 'Mass' tops the Telugu audio list
Dec 2, 2004 IANS Dec 2Hyderabad, Dec 2 (IANS): Star appeal helps make the audio of "Mass" the fortnight's biggest success and top the Telugu audio chart, with "Vijayendra Varma" following not far behind.
The following are the five top audio albums:
1. "Mass": The audio of "Mass" starring Nagarjuna has opened to a good response and Devisriprasad's album is dominated by racy numbers. The title number "Mass" is already a rage while Udit's "Naatho vasthave" is soothing to the ears. Can the actor-composer recreate the magic of "Santhosham"?.
2. "Vijayendra Varma": Fans have made the audio a big hit and veteran composer Koti has definitely bounced back. "Maisamma" is a chartbuster while the rest of the album is dominated by heavy orchestration to give it mass appeal.
3. "Sakhia": Ace composer Mani Sharma blends soft melodies with lively numbers to come up with a good mix. To suit the candyfloss romance, he has preferred soft melodies this time to his heavy star-centred score. He has scored a hit again after "Takkari Donga" and "Laxmi Narasimha".
4. "Sooryam": Young composer Chakri belts out a racy album to enthral the youth. "Atumutadi" is a chartbuster while Jesudas' rendition elevates "Anandam" to a different plane.
5. "Kuncham Touchlo Unte Cheputha": Ace director Vamsi is yet to wriggle out of Ilaiyraja's thrall. Again, his new album reminds one of the maestro's tunes. Chakri, who gave us the "Vaalidaru.." with Vamsi, has again delivered a melody-dominated album.
