Rajendra Prasad had treaded a path which was not used by others. He created a different trend in comedy films. He had completed three decades in the Telugu film industry. He started his film career in 1977. Presently he is playing a role in an English film. Rajendra Prasad says, 'An artiste is never be great. The opportunity has the greatness. Each artiste should utilize every opportunity that he comes across and I am doing the same. One such opportunity has come to me through 'Quick Gum Murugan'. It is a comic character and would be attractive on the lines of Harry Potter for children. Though the character follows our Indian customs and traditions, it runs like a cowboy type character. When the producers were in search of an artiste for the hero's role, my name had come to their purview. My previous films' record and my portrayal of different kinds of characters were measured while accepting me for the role. This was revealed by the producers themselves. I am very happy that my film 'Ladies Tailor' had become a trendsetter. At the same time, I feel proud when the young artistes claim that they were following my footsteps.' He further says, 'I just could not forget Raghuram character in 'Aa Naluguru', which is a rare landmark in my film career. Again, I got a similar fantastic role in 'Mee Sreyobhilashi', the latest film of mine.' Talking about the film production, he says, 'I don't repeat a mistake which I committed once. That is why I have decided to keep myself off from film production. I am allergic to financial issues and even at my home, my wife looks after everything. When it comes to direction, it is a very difficult job and I never try my hand in that department too. I worked with several director so far. Especially, I used to curse Vamsy for troubling me very much. At the same time, I wish to work with him even for 100 more films.' Surprisingly, 'Quick Gum Murugan' would also have sequels in future and the film unit is planning to make a contract with Rajendra Prasad in those films as well.
