RaNa has a Mumbai bro

In a recent chat, RaNa Daggubati who returned to tinsel town after shooting in Kuala Lumpur said

Abhishek Bachchan is my Bombay big brother.

RaNa is a busy man off late, after having spent quite some time in Malaysia, he recently returned home.

Talking about his upcoming films, Naa Ishtam and a project with Amitabh and Sanjay Dutt, RaNa said he

loves working in Bollywood.

Recalling his stay with Abhi, Bipasha and Rohan on the sets of Dum Maaro Dum, he says they were so

special to me, made me feel at home. My relationship with Abhi is special and I refer him as Bombay big

brother.

He also said that his upcoming project in Hindi is with veteran director RGV, who was so impressed with

my performance in Dum Maaro Dum that he instantly signed me on. RGV was happy with my previous

Telugu films too.

Comparing Bollywood and Tollywood, RaNa said Bollywood and Tollywood are not one and the same.

Hindi is our national language, many more people speak it, and therefore Hindi movies will always have

wider audience. But that doesn't put Tollywood anywhere below Bollywood; both industries have always

and will remain at par.

Clearing rumors about his alleged link up with Sonam Kapoor, Sonam and I are good friends, I know

her through her dad who shares a very good relationship with my dad. I hardly know her, she's just an

acquaintance. I'm still single.

Looking back at his own career, he says: I started as visual-effects supervisor and went on to produce a

film which won a national award. And now, I want to write and direct a film someday.

After tasting success both in Bollywood and Tollywood, this Hyderabadi heartthrob says I want to focus

on a Tamil film and find another form of storytelling.
