RGV prepares to rehash Ramayana

Looks like Ram Gopal Varma is not someone who can be bogged down by failures. When he re-interpreted Sholay as Aag, the audience literally ran out of theaters in dismay. Such was the sense of horror they experienced at the maverick's attempt.

Putting the nightmare behind his back, RGV is set to adapt the great epic of Ramayana. For a director who lacks patience (as confessed by himself) to make mythological and sci-fi films, it is not surprising that he wants to set the story in the contemporary times. Get a taste of what is on the platter for us.

RGV's creativity is curious and funny at once. If you ever had any doubts about his 'hatke' thinking (whatever it means), they should taper off now.

The film is about the corporate battles in one Ayodhya Group of Industries and the mayhem is triggered by Kaikeyi Agarwal, Dasarath Rao's second wife. RGV's Dasarath entered into a marriage with Kaikeyi when he went on a business trip to Mumbai. The second wife wants her pound of flesh and demands of Dasarath that her son Bharat Kumar be made the next honcho of his group. Ram Shankar, never the one to disobey his father, leaves the company to head a second unit much against the wishes of the workers of the Ayodhya Group.
