Hyderabad, Sep 11 (IANS) Telugu film "Damarukam" marks composer Devi Sri Prasad's 50th project and the film's lead actor Akkineni Nagarjuna says that out of 10 songs, his favourite number is "Shiv Shiv Shankara".

"I congratulate DSP (Devi Sri Prasad) on his 50th film. Every time he has composed for my film, I can proudly say that the music was a runaway hit. In this film, there's a song called 'Shiv Shiv Shankara', which is undoubtedly my favourite in the album, not the item number 'Sakku Bhai'," Nagarjuna told reporters after launching the "Damarukam" album here Monday.

Nagarjuna, 53, handed over first two copies of the album to directors S.S Rajamouli and V.V. Vinayak at the event, which saw performances on the songs from the album.

Devi Sri Prasad, who came with his mother Siromani, said: "I started my career with a song on Lord Shiva from the film 'Devi' and I've composed another song on Lord Shiva in this album as well."

Nagarjuna's sons - Naga Chaitanya and Akkineni Akhil - were with him on the stage.

Apart from Nagarjuna, director Srinivasa Reddy roped in Ganesh Venkatraman and Anushka Shetty for the socio-fantasy "Damarukam", coming out Oct 19.

Other notable names present at the event were directors S.S Rajamouli, V.V Vinayak, Veerabhadram, S.V Krishna Reddy, K. Raghavendra Rao and actors Charmi and Brahmanandam.
