Son steps into father's shoes

Akash, son of senior cinematographer Ashokkumar, is following the footsteps of his father and is stepping into his shoes. He worked as an associate with his father for about 10 years and learnt several techniques from him. Presently he is doing ad films for various corporate offices. Moreover, he worked as an associate with various foreign cameramen and gained good experience. For the first time, he worked for a Tamil film 'Thottal Poomalarum' as a cameraman under the direction of P Vasu, of 'Chandramukhi'-fame. Akash says, 'I would like to enhance the image and prestige of my father as a perfect son to a perfect father.'
