Srihari returns to character roles

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (IANS): Once an action star, Srihari is back to where he started with a key character role in "Nuvvasthanante Nenu vadhantana".

"It is a well-defined role," says Srihari while producer M.S. Raju claims that the actor will "surprise with a brilliant performance".

After umpteen character roles, the muscular actor turned hero with "Police". After a few hits like "Sambaiah" and "Ganapathy", he was hailed as the messiah of small producers.

But he then went into oblivion after flops like "Goori" and "Dondu Donde".

Srihari, now hoping for a comeback, earlier received an honorary doctorate from an open university in Colombo.

Like his mentor Mohan Babu, Srihari may use the "Dr" as a prefix to his name, say sources close to the Telugu film actor.
