Hyderabad, Feb 7 (IANS) Venkatesh-starrer "Lakshmi" is the pick of the pack among the fortnight's Telugu films.

The top five Telugu films are:

1. "Lakshmi" - With its record-breaking opening, the film has revived the star-centric genre of Telugu cinema. Director Vinayak's winning streak continues.

2. "Style" - The huge promotion by producer Lagapati Sridhar is helping the film. Director Lawrence's creation, featuring Prabhu Deva, has the audiences tapping their feet to catchy dance sequences.

3. "Happy" - The Allu Arjun and Karunakaran starrer has had a good opening, but it is not certain if it can sustain its box office collections. The contrived plot mars the film's prospects while Yuvan Raja's music keeps it going.

4. "Chukkolo Chandrudu" - Made by Sivakumar, the erstwhile assistant of Mani Ratnam, the film has not caught up with the audiences since it reminds them of "Allari Premikudu".

5. "Sarada Saradaga" - Director S.V. Krishna Reddy teams up with his favourite actors Rajendraprasad and Srikanth. The film can sink without a trace because it lacks a promotional campaign by producer Prasad.
