Hyderabad, Nov 21 (IANS) Telegu actor Balakrishna hopes to make a comeback with "Maharathi" after duds like "Allari Pidugu" and "Veerabhadra".

Sneha and Meera Jasmine play Balakrishna's love interests, while veteran actress Jayaprada plays his antagonist in the film, which is set for a Nov 29 release.

"The role has all the navarasas (nine emotions)" remarked Balakrishna.

According to writer Maruduri Raja, the role is "tailor-made" for the star. He added that he had acknowledged Balakrishna's suggestions and inputs.

Director P. Vasu is also returning to the Telugu movie scenario after a long gap. He said Balakrishna's is "a powerful role".

Balakrishna is the son of legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR).

"My dream of working with NTR didn't come true but I am happy to work with his son," said Vasu.

Jayaprada, who has acted with NTR in several hit films, said: "I have a significant role and it was nice working with Balakrishna."

Vasu introduces Kannada composer Guru Kiran to Telugu cinema with this film and promises "soulful tunes". The film's audio, which was released recently, is already a hit.

The industry is now waiting to watch whether Vasu, who gave Rajnikant a smashing hit with "Chandramukhi", can break Balakrishna's jinx too.
