For Malayalam cinema, it seems year 2014 belongs to Nivin Pauly. Nivin Pauly is riding high on his hat trick hits ‘1983’, ‘Om Shanti Osana’, and the latest ‘Bangalore Days’. He has proved that from the lover boy image he has come a long way and is capable of doing versatile roles whether its humor or sentiments.

In ‘1983’ he played the role of a parent, who through his son, tries to achieve the aspirations and dreams that he could not achieve on his own. In ‘Om Shanti Osana’ he played a matured youth who stick on to his own values and principles. But it is in ‘Bangalore Days’ he proved beyond doubt that he can handle humor with ease and élan.

In fact his stellar performance has been one of the highlights of the movie which is running in packed houses. Accolades are pouring in from all corners; meanwhile Mammootty and Satyan Anthikkad have also heaped praises on him for his great performance in the movie.

Nivin Pauly has a number of upcoming projects too. In Rajesh Pillai’s ‘Mili’, he plays a soft skill trainer. The movie is a woman-centric one with Amala Paul playing the female lead. Nivin Pauly is the hero in Alphonse Puthren’s upcoming movie ‘Premam’, which will be produced by Anwar Rasheed. Nivin is also making a cameo appearance in Lal Jose’s ‘Vikramadityan’ which has Dulquer Salman and Unni Mukundan in the lead roles.
