No Malayalam releases from today

There will be no Malayalam releases from today onwards for this year’s Christmas festive season. This is due to the dispute between the theater owners, distributors, and producers, related to theater share of collection.

The distributors and producers have unitedly decided to stop releases from Friday onwards as requested by Theater owner’s association, Film Exhibitors Federation.

Sathyan Anthikkad’s Dulquer Salman-starrer ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’ was scheduled to hit theaters today. The release of the other Christmas films is also affected thereby.
