No more Raazs for Emraan Hashmi

One can’t deny the fact that Emraan Hashmi rose to fame with a series of franchise films like ‘Murder’, ‘Jannat’ and ‘Raaz’, which were all made by Vishesh films. However, the ‘Baadshaho’ actor doesn’t want to do any more sequels.

In an interview to a leading daily, Emraan said, “Raaz is a closed chapter. I don't want to do another one in that series. I don't want to be part of a sequel just for the sake of it.”

The ‘Azhar’ actor further explained, “For many actors, sequels or franchise films are like a safety net. But recently, we had many examples of sequels that haven't worked. Making sequels is becoming tricky, as the audience has become intelligent and will watch it only if it interests them.”

The actor further said that he will only do a sequel if there is really a story to take it forward.

Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Baadshaho.’
