Onam releases 2016

Onam is here again and the biggest releases happen during this season. Some of the most anticipated films of the year are lined up for release. The movies of Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Dileep, Kunchacko Boban, and Vineeth Sreenivasan are in the list - ‘Oppam’, ‘Oozham’, ‘Welcome to Central Jail’, ‘Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho’, and ‘Oru Muthassi Gadha’.

Oppam

Mohanlal-Priyadarshan team is back with ‘Oppam’ which reaches theaters on September 8th. ‘Oppam’ is a crime investigative thriller in which Mohanlal plays a visually challenged character named Jayaraman throughout the movie. Anusree and Vimala Raman are the heroines.

The story by newcomer Govind Vijay is scripted by Priyadarshan. Samudrakkani, Baby Meenakshy, Renji Panicker, Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, Innocent, Kunjan, and Siddique do other prominent roles. ‘Oppam’ is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Ashirvad Cinemas.

Oozham

‘Oozham’ written and directed by Jeethu Joseph is a revenge story featuring Prithviraj in the lead role. The movie hits theaters on the 8th of September. Divya Pillai and new face Rasna are the heroines.

Balachandra Menon, Neeraj Madhav, Pasupathy, Irshad, Kishore Satya, Dinesh Nair, Tony Luka, and Anson Paul also do important roles. ‘Oozham’ is produced by G George and Anto Jose Padinjarekkara under the banner of Fine Tune Pictures.

Welcome to Central Jail

Director Sunderdas is back with Dileep-starrer ‘Welcome to Central Jail’. The movie releases on September 10th. Vedhika does Dileep’s heroine.

The thoughts and friendship of the members imprisoned in the jail and the incidents that happen there form the plot of the movie. The movie is scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam.

Renji Panicker, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Kailsah, and Tesni Khan play important roles. ‘Welcome to Central Jail’ is produced by Vyshak Rajan under the banner of Vyshaka Cinema.

Oru Muthassi Gadha

After ‘Om Santhi Osana’ Jude Anthany Joseph’s next venture ‘Oru Muthassi Gadha’ reaches cinemas on September 15th. This is a female-centric movie in which two grandmothers play the pivotal roles.

‘Oru Muthassi Gadha’ is a full length comedy entertainer in which dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and new face Rajini Chandy play the main roles. Suraj and Lena also play important roles.

Vijayaraghavan, Ramesh Pisharody, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Aju Varghese, Lal Jose, Renji Panicker play the other main roles. ‘Oru Muthassi Gadha’ is produced by Mukesh R Mehta under the banner of E 4 Entertainment.

Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho

‘Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho’ directed by award winning director Sidharth Siva hits theaters on September 9th. The movie features Kunchacko Boban and new face Master Rudraksh, son of actor Sudheesh, in the title roles of Kochavva and Ayyappa respectively.
