'Ottal' in theaters from today

National award winning director Jayaraj’s ‘Ottal’ hits theaters today. ‘Ottal’ is as adaptation of Russian writer Anton Chekov’s short story “Vanka”.

‘Ottal’ bagged the Best Film Award in Environment Conservation category in the recently held National Film Awards.

While “Vanka” revolves around the pangs of nine-year -old Vanka Zhukov, destined to lead the life of a child laborer under a shoemaker in Moscow, 'Ottal' tells the story of Kuttappayi, a child laborer hailing from Kerala and his inseparable and touching bond with his grandfather and nature.
