Oviya signs Kanchana 3

Although Oviya has been doing movies for quite some time, it’s her TV reality show Bigg Boss that helped her catapult to an astronomical level in popularity. She has become the darling of Tamil audiences.

Although she has been flooded with offers, the smart girl is choosing her projects very carefully. She has recently signed director Deekay’s Kaatteri where she is said to have an important role.

In addition to this, she has also signed Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 3, the third part in the Muni-Kanchana franchise. Raghava Lawrence elaborates when he says, “We are glad to have Oviya on board for Kanchana 3. We will start shooting for the film in Chennai from October 5.” He was also not willing to throw further light on her character and avers that it is too early to talk about it at this stage. Actors Kovai Sarala, Sreeman and Devadarshini play the supporting roles.
