P C Sreeram lodges police complaint against FEFSI Siva
Nov 23, 2016 JBAce cinematographer P.C.Sreeram is the elected President of South Indian Film Cinematographers Association (SICA) in the elections held in January this year. Yesterday, the 22nd November, he met the Police Commissioner in Chennai and filed a complaint against former President FEFSI Siva.
It is reported that Siva conducted a Star night program in Malaysia on behalf of the Cinematographers Body in 2015 for which many crores from the funds of the association were spent. He has failed to account the money spent on this event and did not properly respond to repeated queries. Therefore, the General Body decided to remove Siva's basic membership from the association.
The elections were conducted after eight years. The new office-bearers allege that for the last eight years, books of accounts showing the incomes and expenses were not maintained at all. It was also said the association did not file Income tax returns. Since even repeated queries to them did not result in a response, the current association decided to complain with the police.
