Paadam deals with the faulty educational system

Paadam is an upcoming film directed by Rajashekar and has newcomer Karthik playing the protagonist role of a schoolboy and actor Vijith playing a very vital role. Newcomer Mona has played the female lead.

Ganesh Raghavendra has scored the music for the movie while Mano is the cinematographer, Gibin is the editor, 'Action' Prakash is the stunt choreographer and Palanivel is the art director of the movie.

Director Rajashekar who had earlier associated with director Rajesh says, "Paadam deals with the problems Tamil medium school students face when English is forced upon them and made a necessity. Most of us fail to understand that English is just a language and not the only way of life. This movie is the tug of war between a student and a teacher, the struggles that a student faces and how he emerges victorious in the society. It analyses our faulty educational system, the mindset of our parents and social pressure on the students.
