Paradesi nominated in eight categories

Director Bala’s Paradesi has been nominated for eight categories at the London International Film Festival (LIFF), which will be held from 13 to 18 October, 2013.

Paradesi has been nominated in categories like, Best Film, Best Director, Best Foreign Film, Best Foreign Film Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Costume.

Written and directed by Bala, Paradesi was released on March 15, 2013. The film starred Adharvaa, Vedhicka and Dhansika in the lead. GV Prakash was the music director. The film is based on the lives of tea estate workers during the pre-independence era.
