Peranbu to premiere at International Film Festival

Director Ram, after his directorial Taramani in 2017 which received mixed response, has completed his next film titled Peranbu which is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. The film will have the Malayalam Mega star Mammotty back in a Tamil film after 2010’s Vandae Maatharam.


Peranbu also has Anjali, Sadhana and Samuthirakani in important roles. It will feature Mammootty in the role of a middle-class father working as a taxi driver abroad.


Peranbu will be premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Talking about it, director Ram says, “We were waiting to announce it after Pongal about this. On January 27, the film will premiere at the 47th IFFR, following which it’ll make its way to more film festivals across the globe. It will have its theatrical release in India in Summer 2018, with the exact date to be decided based on the other releases around that time.”
