'Peruchazhi' to release in America for Onam

‘Peruchazhi’ set for Onam release will hit theatres in America too during the Onam festive season. The movie will be released simultaneously in Kerala and America on August 29.The film will be released in around 30 theatres in the US.

The distribution of the movie is also by the producers – Friday Film House. This is for the first time a production company in Kerala releases a Malayalam movie in the US.

Usually Malayalam movies are released in America only weeks after its release in Kerala and also in very few theatres. This also adds to the record list of ‘Peruchazhi’.

Dallas, Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles, San Jose, Houston, New York, Virginia, and Detroit include the main releasing centers.

Mohanlal’s ‘Peruchazhi’ directed by Arun Vaidyanathan is mainly shot in America. Mohanlal plays politician Jaganathan in this movie. Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Vijay Babu, Baburaj, Ragini Nandwani and Pooja Kumar are the other main actors in this movie. Hollywood actor Shaun James also does an important role in the film.

Ajay Venugopal is the script writer. ‘Peruchazhi’ is produced by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas under the banner of Friday Films.
