Polladhavan is Guns of Benares in Hindi

Dhanush’s Polladhavan directed by Vetrimaran is being remade into Hindi and it has been titled as Guns of Benares. The film is being directed by Shekar Suri and has Karan Nath in the lead role while Ganesh Venkataraman of Unnaipol Oruvan fame will be playing a key role.

Ganesh Venkataraman will reprise Daniel Balaji’s role in the original. Ganesh was reported as saying that the film is set in Benaras and his character requires him to have a mean look, complete with a beard and a tattoo on his arms. He also said that he headed to Benaras in advance to pick up the UP slang.

Guns of Benares will have Nathalia Kaur playing the female lead, while Vinod Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh and Shilpa Shirodkar are part of the main cast. It is said that the makers are trying to get G V Prakash Kumar on the board for the background score. Click the Movie button below for more info:
