New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) Rohit Khaitan's "Prague", starring Chandan Roy Sanyal and Elena Kazan, was due for release Friday, but its release has been pushed to Sep 27 on the behest of its distributor Anil Aggarwal.

Aggarwal liked the film a lot, and did not feel it was appropriate to release the movie on a date when biggies like "Zanjeer" and "Shuddh Desi Romance" are due to open in theatres.

He is said to have messaged Khaitan urging him to rethink the release date of "Prague".

"Saw your movie 'Prague' last night. Was a great experience. The genre was totally different, so we advise you to shift the date of this film from Sep 6 to Sep 27. This movie deserves proper release. There are many film releasing on Sep 6. Thanks," Aggarwal said in his message to the producer, a source told IANS.

This is not the first time that the movie has been delayed. It was first scheduled for release July 6, and was later pushed to Aug 2 as well. The delay was a result of a decision by the three music companies on board -- Times Music, Crescendo and Universal Music -- who wanted to release the 25 sound track-album of the film worldwide on a digital platform.

The release date was then again shifted from Aug 2 to Sep 6 as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had raised an objection to one of the songs of the film "Bottal khol". They found double meaning lyrics in the song.

"Prague" is a psychological thriller which revolves around the lives of three architects and their paranormal experiences as they explore Prague.
