Prakash Raj adopts a village in Telengana

These days, actors just don’t stop with their career in front of the camera but are also socially responsible. There are quite a few celebs who have taken to make a difference to the society they belong to. Recently Mahesh Babu after his successful Srimanthudu announced that he will adopt a village Burripalem which is the birth place of Mahesh Babu's father and veteran actor Krishna in Mahabubnagar.


Prakash Raj also follows suit when he decided to adopt a village in the backward Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. He called on Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao at the state secretariat and expressed his desire to adopt Kondareddipalle village in Mahabubnagar. Prakash Raj who recently launched Prakash Raj Foundation, plans to undertake various programs for the development of the village.



A government release said the actor told the minister that he was impressed by the implementation of some of the government schemes such as Mission Kakatiya and Haritha Haram. His foundation had already undertaken some developmental activities in Karnataka, the actor said.
