Prithviraj and Parvathy in a real life story

Actor Prithviraj and actress Parvathy will team up to essay the roles of Moideen and Kanchanamala in a film, which will be based on the tragic love story of a real life couple. The film will be directed by RS Vimal and is yet to be titled. Vimal has earlier done a documentary on the same topic with the title, Jalam Kondu Murivettal. The reception for the film in film festival circuits has made the director think of a full-length film. Moideen and Kanchanamala lived in the 60’s and irrespective of their religions they fell in love. But they did not get married and after Moideen drowned while trying to save boat mishap victims, Kanchanamala moved to Moideen’s house as his widow, though unmarried. The film will start shooting in the next year in Mukkom near Kozhikode where the real couple lived.
